We are currently looking for team members to fill the following positions:
Excavation Laborer / Excavation Operator
Requirements:
• Perform general laborer duties as needed
• Interact with customers, co-workers, and management in a courteous and respectful manner
• Ability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to lift, bend, and climb routinely
• Must be able to interact well with others and work independently, or in a team setting
• Must possess strong work ethic and good problem-solving skills
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to work Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 4:00PM.
• Other duties as assigned
Preferred:
• Previous experience working in the construction environment
• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Assisting supervisor with setting up grade stakes and setting inlets, structures, and water valve boxes to grade
Basic Job Functions:
• Perform a variety of labor tasks related to erosion control, loading and unloading materials, traffic control, material assembly and installation
• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes.
• Erect and disassemble shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps, and other temporary structures.
• Install sewer, water, and storm drainpipes, using pipe-laying machinery and laser guidance equipment
• Maintains constant awareness of safety, efficiency and displays a flexibility and out of the box thinking with the capability to solve problems
• Effectively operate a front-end loader, dozer, haul truck and excavator
• Perform routine inspection of the equipment prior to use
