Animal Production Science & Technology

Prepare for professional large animal science related program, immediate employment, and further education. Explore the care, management, evaluation, treatment and marketing of agricultural production animals such as beef, dairy, swine, poultry, sheep, goats, and horses. Experience the passion of working with animals in a variety of farm settings. Interact with experts in the field through job shadowing, clinical experience, co-op opportunities, and FFA membership.

Veterinary Technology (AST)

This specialized associate degree program combines classroom theory and laboratory experience on topics including surgical procedures, dental prophylaxis, diagnostic imaging, medical records maintenance and facility care. In the Veterinary Technology Program, students will be instructed and receive hands-on experience within a facility that functions as a veterinary hospital. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the demand for trained veterinary technicians has steadily increased over the past decade and this growth is expected to continue. Veterinary technicians provide professional and technical assistance to veterinarians in clinics, laboratories and animal hospitals.
