Two final celebrations to share today!

Three students in our Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide class attained their EMU certificates and attended a pinning ceremony this week! 🩺 They rocked it out for six weeks, keeping up with both CTC and EMU classwork. Well done! 👏

On Monday, our Cabinetmaking program was recognized by the Borough of Denver for their craftsmanship and delivery of their new boardroom table! ✨ Thank you, Denver, for your partnership - our students loved the opportunity to have their work showcased so prominently.

Architectural CADD is in the weeds of site plans this week! 🏠📐 Students are reading through deeds, sifting through the details and legal language, and creating site plans based on the deeds’ information.

Sparks are flying today at Willow Street! ⚡️

Diesel Technology students made a drive shaft out of popsicle sticks and cotton balls. With the help of a jig made by Welding students, Diesel measured the RPM limits of the handmade drive shaft. 🚛

In Welding Technology, some students worked on stainless steel joints, while one made a “Welder’s Third Arm” for stability when working. As a side project, they’ve been piecing together a scrap metal Christmas tree, complete with carbon steel ornaments. 🌲

Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide students were tested on their blood pressure and heart rate measuring skills today. 🩺 They also started their nutrition theory unit, learning about the effects that sugar has on the human body.

As a bonus, enjoy a sneak peek into Brownstown’s Intro to Manufacturing class, which recently practiced TIG welding and grinding! 🧑‍🏭
