Baking and Pastry students were busy creating holi

Baking and Pastry students were busy creating holiday cookie magic today!🎄❄️ They’ve been hard at work piecing together over 70 two- and three-pound cookie platters! They made biscotti, crinkle cookies, snickerdoodles and shortbreads, gingerbreads, peanut butter blossoms, and of course - chocolate chip cookies! 🍪

Meanwhile, Culinary Arts students perfected their mother sauces; these are base sauces for every other sauce made in the kitchen. One student made béchamel sauce as a base for mornay sauce, the integral piece to our baked mac and cheese recipe! 🧀 Another made velouté sauce and practiced her sauce plating techniques with grilled chicken. A third student whipped together Greek salad dressing.

Dental Assistant students tested their CPR skills

Dental Assistant students tested their CPR skills today, practicing compressions and breaths while demonstrating effective teamwork and leadership. 🏥✨ In the lab, they reviewed a few skills they’ve already learned this year - brushing teeth, performing x-rays, and administering fluoride! 🦷

From soldering copper pipes for a water heater attachment, to exploring how bathroom pipes work together behind the walls, our Plumbing students are learning the ins and outs of residential systems today! 🚽🧻 They have been working through their task lists, gaining real experience with fixtures like toilets and showers. 🚿

Due to inclement weather, LCCTC High School and Intergenerational classes will have a Virtual Learning Day today, 12/2. Classes will start on a 2-hour delay, at 10:00 AM. PM half-day classes will start 12:30 PM. Half-day students, your instructors will contact you regarding assignments for today.

All of Adult Education is now operating on a virtual schedule.

LCCTC buildings and offices will be closed today. Office staff will be working remotely.

Adult Education update: Adult Education remains on a virtual schedule; this includes EFDA tonight. Additionally, Adult Welding is cancelled for this evening.
