🌟LION'S CLUB STUDENT OF THE MONTH🌟

Matthew Beck has been selected as the Elizabethtown Lions Club CTC Student of the Month for October. He is enrolled in the Electrical Construction Technology program at the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center–Brownstown Campus. Prior to entering the program, Matthew completed Introduction to Construction Careers at the Mount Joy Campus.

Matthew was nominated by his Electrical Construction Technology instructor, Mr. Myers, for his outstanding academic achievement and the skills he demonstrates in the lab. He is a hardworking and dedicated student who consistently stays on top of his assignments. Matthew credits his teachers and parents with encouraging him and pushing him to pursue his goals. Being selected as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month is especially meaningful to Matthew because it represents recognition of his hard work and the effort he has put into achieving his goals.

Matthew takes great pride in his academic achievements and has earned Honor Roll recognition at both Elizabethtown Area High School and CTC. He is active in SkillsUSA and has been involved in athletics throughout high school, including football and track and field.

In addition to balancing academics and athletics, Matthew has worked at Masonic Village for the past two years as a dining room server. Outside of school and work, he enjoys working out, snowboarding, and spending time with friends. Matthew also takes great pride in his Brazilian heritage and hopes to return to Brazil in the future, where his father’s side of the family is from and where many of his family members still reside.

Following graduation, Matthew is considering attending Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology to continue his technical education or going directly into the workforce as an electrician.

🌟LION'S CLUB STUDENT OF THE MONTH🌟

Caitlin Hershey is the Manheim Lions Club CTC Student of the Month for October. She is enrolled in the Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide program at the Lancaster County CTC Willow Street Campus.

Caitlin has demonstrated outstanding qualities as a Nursing Assistant student. She is dedicated, hardworking, and consistently strives to produce her best work. She manages her time effectively and is always willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed. Her positive attitude, kindness, and genuine smile make her a wonderful influence throughout the school. Her energy, compassion, and strong work ethic would be a valuable addition to any healthcare team.

Caitlin currently maintains an overall A average. Her commitment to learning and caring for others reflects the qualities of an exceptional future healthcare professional.

Hempfield cheer team recently held a teacher appreciation night and the students chose to honor three of our health care instructors. An honor normally reserved for school district staff. These instructors broke the trend with the relationships, connections, and meaningful experiences they provide.

🐮ANOTHER WIN FOR APST!🏅

The Animal Production Sciences and Technology program would like to congratulate Kylie Fryer on her 4th place tie, for Livestock Judging, at the West Lampeter Community Fair last month! This was a county level win and she placed 1st in their chapter!

Way to go Kylie!!
