Teaching Academy (K-12)

The Teaching Academy gives students hands-on experience exploring careers in K-12 education while learning how great teachers plan, teach, assess, and connect with their students. Through classroom instruction, observations, and real-world experiences in educational settings, students develop skills in lesson planning, classroom management, communication, leadership, and working with diverse learners. Students also explore teacher certification and college pathways while building a professional portfolio to prepare for the next step in their education career.

Our Education Center

Our Education Center is located directly next to the Bright Horizons Early Learning Center at our Mount Joy Campus, providing our students with the unique opportunity of working with children from infant to preschool age. This direct experience helps students gain insight into the developmental milestones of each age level while they work on planning learning activities and experiences for each age group.
