#TBT to one of our very first Open Houses in 1970! 🪩🕺A staff member recently found these groovy photo slides stored away in our Central Office. Intro to Visual Communications students at Brownstown brought them to life, taking high quality photos to digitize them! 📸 Far out!

Computer Networking is already gearing up for anot

Computer Networking is already gearing up for another highly successful Cyber City event! 👨‍💻 Students are prepping new 3-D printed installations, including cathedrals. This year, they will install cube “satellites” in the ceiling and develop an underground subway. Different from last year, the city will be broken into three neighborhoods - futuristic, apocalyptic, and wild!

Today, students continued computer-based training on Linux and other non-Windows operating systems. During their breaks, they played with robots, a real-world application of their skills! 🤖

Out at Mount Joy, Precision Machining students are

Out at Mount Joy, Precision Machining students are working with manual lathes to craft pegs for their own “peg solitaire” games! ⚙️ They’ve also used manual mills to complete NIMS skill projects and are engraving with 3D models on Autodesk Fusion.

Electro-Mechanical Engineering is finishing up their soldering unit! 🔥 Next up are their motor control modules and troubleshooting. A few students are wiring electric motor control units, while others are prepping to start their co-op positions!
