Willow Street welcomed students from Cocalico, Don

Willow Street welcomed students from Cocalico, Donegal, Hempfield, and Warwick School Districts last week to tour our high school programs! 🌟 Each of our programs gave “day-in-the-life” presentations, which included some skill demonstrations. In Medical Assistant, students showed off their abilities to properly take vitals. 🩺 Animal Production brought alpacas to campus for haltering and leading demos! 🦙 They even flipped sheep to trim hooves. Plus, APST toured Brubaker Farms and Horizon Farm Credit! Thank you for welcoming our students to your businesses!

On Friday, Mount Joy’s Intro to Manufacturing sold their Halloween yard decorations at Infusions Restaurant! In the classroom, they watched Mr. Stevens demonstrate how to use the oxy fuel track burner, and they practiced stick welding on mild steel v-grooves. 🔥

Our students took charge setting up the studio, lights, and screens to welcome visiting 10th and 11th graders exploring what it’s like to be part of our IMWD program. After the crowds dispersed, our students then cut together this promo video to show you how they prepared. Creativity in action! 💻✨

Intro to Construction students at Willow Street la

Intro to Construction students at Willow Street laid out 16-inch center spacing for the floors of their mock house project today! 👷🔨

Down the hallway, Intro to Manufacturing literally ground out tasks on their skill sheets! 👩‍🏭 Students practiced grinding and welding on mild steel, and they finished up their drilling, lathe, and oxy fuel cutting projects.
