Willow Street’s Medical Assistant program, togethe

Willow Street’s Medical Assistant program, together with our Nursing Assistant and Home Health Aide and Patient Care Technician programs, hosted a blood drive! 💉🩸 MA Students led blood drive donors between the former Lions Club building and their classroom, where informational organ donation games were stationed.

The organ donation stations were funded by an Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness (OTDA) Seed Grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Education, through Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13. The initiative serves to educate secondary students about organ and tissue donation, and to spread awareness in local communities about the heavy and personal importance of the “little red heart on a driver’s license.” ❤️

A big thank you to Lancaster General Health for helping to run the community blood drive! ✨

Patient Care Technician students wrapped up their 7-week clinical rotation at Lancaster General Hospital in May! 🏥 Thank you to all practices that hosted our students, giving them hands-on experience in real healthcare settings!

Willow Street’s Intro to Transportation team earne

Willow Street’s Intro to Transportation team earned fifth at the Tuff Truck Challenge at Buck Motorsports Park earlier this month! 😎

This was the first Tuff Truck competition that instructor Mr. Donny Lingle has led his classes into since 2019. Mr. Lingle raced the same truck that CTC students over the years have worked on together, but students from this year’s class fabricated a new dashboard, installed gauges, and wired up emergency cut-out switches for racing too. 🛻
