Computer Networking and Security’s mock city, Nova

Computer Networking and Security’s mock city, Nova City, is starting to come together, now with visible divisions between its city center, suburbia, and mountains. A working hydroelectric dam is currently in the works and might eventually be accompanied by a lazy river. Brownstown’s Intro to Construction class recently built and delivered the next base piece, for the vast wilderness area! Other recent upgrades include working street and traffic lights and a subway entrance, professionally “vandalized” by Commercial Art. 🏙️🚦

Today, several Computer Networking students also tested a modern-day Claw of Archimedes - a robotic arm! The name comes from an ancient version of the machine, designed by the Greek mathematician and physicist Archimedes. Archimedes’ invention was used in the 3rd century BCE to defend the seaward wall of Syracuse by lifting attacking Roman ships out of the water. 🏗️⚙️

The president and vice president of our LCCTC FFA

The president and vice president of our LCCTC FFA Chapter attended the PA FFA State Legislative Leadership Conference this week to learn about etiquette in advocacy and the legislative process. ✨🐮 Our students even got a chance to share breakfast with our state legislators!

Special thanks to PA Secretary of @paagriculture Russell Redding, PA State Senator @senjamesmalone, and PA State Representatives Keith Greiner, Brett Miller, and Dave Zimmerman for spending time with our FFA Chapter leadership team! 🤠
