Randy Hess has over 25 year of industry experience, including previous employment with RR Donnelley, DavCo Advertising and Lancaster Newspapers. He received his AAS in Graphic Communications and Printing Technology from Thaddeus Steven College of Technology. Randy is in his third year of teaching as the Visual Communications Cluster Instructor at the LCCTC’s Brownstown Campus. Randy has been teaching much longer as a parent of two children, while being active in youth organizations and as a manager in industry.

Randy enjoys whitewater and flatwater kayaking, volleyball, photography and spending time with his family. He resides in New Holland with his lovely wife.

Mark Maisano started at the Lancaster County Career & Technology in 1998. He has been an instructor for over 16 years teaching at the LCCTC and Berks CTC. Mark has also worked in the field of Visual Communications as a Graphic Artist.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Workforce Education and Development from Penn State University and is certified in Graphic Communications as well as Advertising and Design. He is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology.

In his free time Mark enjoys fitness, family and friends.

Program Goals

All students will:

Prepare for National Skills Certificates and/or credentials.
Be successfully exposed to all careers that are aligned within this program.
Be proficient in their career major and demonstrate proficiency through hands-on performance and theoretical testing.

Program Description

Experience drawing, computer graphics, and photography to deliver powerful visual arts.
Capture photographs with current digital cameras.
Create and design reproductions utilizing the same hardware and design software as professional graphic artists and commercial printers.
