High school Student Ambassadors at Mount Joy had the honor of walking Pennsylvania State Senator James Malone (@senjamesmalone) around the campus. They had the opportunity to share their CTE experiences and their goals upon graduation with the state legislator.

Sparks are flying and buildings are rising here at Mount Joy!⚡️🏠

Today in Welding Technology, students were prepping for the American Welding Society competition in April. Winners at this competition will receive thousands of dollars worth of welding equipment! Good luck to our competing welders! 🧑‍🏭🤞 Additionally, some students practiced skills for their NOCTI exam, while others cleaned metal for a backlit wall sign featuring our new LCCTC Hawk mascot! The next steps on the mascot project will be painting and welding pieces together. 🪶

Intro to Construction students decorated their model rooms with both interior and exterior finishes! They exhibited their skills in drywall installation, trimming, painting, flooring, and vinyl siding! 🛠️👷

A limited number are available for purchase by donation. 🌟🤠 We recommend a donation of $785 for the base model, or $2,095 for the model with all the add-ons! You may also ask for specific add-ons at a la carte prices.

Our current Animal Production Science and Technolo

Our current Animal Production Science and Technology students got to learn from program alumni today! 🤠 A certified equine dental provider and an alum from the program’s first year, Katelyn, offered a demonstration on Dixie the Appaloosa, owned by Bobbie, a 2022 graduate! Sedation was provided by Dr. Donna Moore, one of our Attending Veterinarians. The dental demonstrations were performed by Duncan Equine Dental Services.

APST students have also been grading eggs the old-school way and bottle-feeding their new class pet, Janet! The lamb was born at instructor Lori Lefever’s farm a few weeks ago, but she was rejected by her ewe. Mrs. Lefever brought Janet to the CTC for x-rays and lots of love and attention! 🐑💕
