Yesterday, Painting students from Brownstown Campu Yesterday, Painting students from Brownstown Campus brought their expertise to the house projects at Mount Joy! 🫟 They painted baseboards inside and columns in front of one house, and placed tile in the upstairs bathroom of the other.

Meanwhile, Mount Joy’s Advanced Health Careers and Intro to Health students earned their Basic Life Support certificates from the American Heart Association, proctored by our very own instructors! 🫀If you heard running in the halls, it was students testing their ability to retrieve a defibrillator for their partners, who practiced performing CPR. 🏃‍♀️

Lastly, Electro-Mechanical Engineering students troubleshooted and studied the fundamentals of pneumatic circuits!⚡️ They also spent time working on industrial cabinet wiring.

Please join us in celebrating our two Lions Club S Please join us in celebrating our two Lions Club Students of the Month, Benjamin D. and Cameron E.! ✨

Benjamin D. (Elizabethtown) is the Elizabethtown Lions Club LCCTC Student of the Month for April. Ben initially enrolled as a junior in Mount Joy’s Intro to Transportation program last year out of a desire to obtain more experience working on cars. Ultimately, it was Ben’s passion for welding, fostered by working with his grandfather on welding projects, that inspired his decision to join the welding program for his senior year. 🔥 Ben has always viewed himself as more of a hands-on learner. He is currently shop foreman in the welding program. In addition to school, Ben is involved in Boy Scouts and presently working on his Eagle Scout. He works on his family farm and helps out at his neighbor’s farm. Ben’s strong work ethic has served him well; he has been recommended for an Advanced Placement Internship. He is currently working three days a week for Advanced Industrial Systems. Benjamin hopes to continue to advance his career in the welding industry after graduation.

Cameron E. (Manheim Central) is the Manheim Lions Club LCCTC Student of the Month for April. Cameron is enrolled in the Diesel Technology program at Willow Street.  He chose his program for its hands-on nature and to gain knowledge in the diesel field. 🚛 Cameron feels he has learned a lot of responsibility and self-discipline in the program. Cameron plans on continuing in the workforce post-graduation at Sauder Eggs, where he is presently a diesel mechanic.
