It’s chilly outside, but not as cool as in our Wel

It’s chilly outside, but not as cool as in our Welding and Veterinary Assistant classrooms! 😎 With state NOCTI exams in the rearview mirror, students are now focusing on Co-Operative Education experiences and personal projects.

13 Welding students are out on Co-Op! Their remaining classmates are cutting inch-thick weld test cuts with the oxyacetylene torch and TIG welding on aluminum. 🔥 Others are gaining knowledge beyond the curriculum by learning how to weld pipes, or by designing personal projects like a stainless steel and carbon American flag! 🇺🇸

While many Veterinary Assistant students participate in Co-Op, their grooming clinic does remain open to the public for basic clip services through the end of the school year! 🐾🐶 The opportunity allows students to handle dogs of different sizes and temperaments. Students also practice scheduling patients and interacting professionally with clients.

Cabinetmaking recently built an island cabinet on casters for Photography, to be used for print cutting and matting! 🗄️📸 Brownstown’s Intro to Construction students assisted in demolishing and hauling out the old Photography cabinets to make room for the new and improved furniture.

Yet another showcase of our school’s great sense of inter-program community! Way to show up for each other, Brownstown! ✨

Are you a high school junior interested in visual arts, unsure of what classes to take next year? Explore two of our Visual Communications programs during a *full-day* exploration visit on April 30, 2026! 🌸

Students will walk through a day in the life of a student in our Digital Design & Print Media, and our Interactive Media & Web Design classes. In DDPM, students expand their marketing skills, become graphic design experts, and train on industry printing tech! 👩‍💻 In IMWD, students explore coding basics, create game-style graphics, become content creators, and build their own brands.
