It might be windy and cold outside today, but Protective Services and Welding are bringing on the heat! 🔥

Protective Services students cut ventilation openings in “roofs,” while maintaining safe ladder and chainsaw techniques. 👩‍🚒🚨 They also learned how to forcibly enter locked doors in the event of emergencies!

In Welding, our students practiced TIG welding on stainless steel and stick welding on carbon steel. 🌟 In their work today, students used new Miller Dynasty 300 TIG welder units. These were purchased by our Foundation with a $35,000 Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) contribution from High Companies. Thank you, @highcompanies, for your support of our Welding program! 👏

This week, Painting and Interior Finishes installed flooring, hung drywall, and painted walls! 🫟

Plus, Architectural CAD welcomed three former students, who gave a career paths presentation. ✨ In late October, the program toured Weaver Precast Superior Walls in Ephrata! The plant tour offered an understanding of how superior walls are manufactured. This is the same foundation wall system used in our student house projects at Mount Joy!
