This spring, a group of Materials Handling and Log

This spring, a group of Materials Handling and Logistics students waiting on placements spent time volunteering at the Historic Ephrata Cloister. 💪😎

“We strongly believe in the importance of teaching students not only technical, employability, and independent living skills, but also the value of volunteering and giving back to the community,” instructor Carl Warden shared. 👏 He said his students were offered the opportunity to assist with spring clean-up at the National Historic Landmark. Students mowed, painted and stained outdoor furniture, and pressure washed to prep the site for summer.

At this time, all MHL students have successfully obtained Co-Op positions! 👷Thank you to all staff at the Historic Ephrata Cloister, for welcoming our students to your team this month!

Last Wednesday, students and representatives from our Mount Joy and Willow Street Campuses attended Career and Technical Education Day at the Pennsylvania State Capitol! 🏛️ Baking and Pastry Arts students brought mini cupcake samples to share, while Medical Assistant students simulated blood draws on a venipuncture and injection arm.

Thank you especially to PA State Representatives Tom Jones, Brett Miller, Nikki Rivera, and David Zimmerman, and to the staff of PA State Senators James Malone and Scott Martin for speaking with our students!✨👩‍🍳🩸
