Our current Animal Production Science and Technolo

Our current Animal Production Science and Technology students got to learn from program alumni today! 🤠 A certified equine dental provider and an alum from the program’s first year, Katelyn, offered a demonstration on Dixie the Appaloosa, owned by Bobbie, a 2022 graduate! Sedation was provided by Dr. Donna Moore, one of our Attending Veterinarians. The dental demonstrations were performed by Duncan Equine Dental Services.

APST students have also been grading eggs the old-school way and bottle-feeding their new class pet, Janet! The lamb was born at instructor Lori Lefever’s farm a few weeks ago, but she was rejected by her ewe. Mrs. Lefever brought Janet to the CTC for x-rays and lots of love and attention! 🐑💕

Today at Willow Street, Introduction to Manufactur

Today at Willow Street, Introduction to Manufacturing students worked off blueprints to manufacture metal machining parts. They’ve also welded the stands for their fire pits, a cross-program project for Farmers Fire Insurance Company. 🔥🐟

Painting and Interior Finishes students recently h

Painting and Interior Finishes students recently hung wallpaper for the first time, from prepping the walls to applying paste and leveling the paper! 🫟 They also stenciled wall designs that they will later paint.

Commercial Art finished their box advertising projects and hopped online for some shorter-term digital design work! 👩‍🎨✨ Meanwhile, Interactive Media and Web Design students dove into mood boards for their comic store projects — detailing everything from colors to textures to fonts to style their faux websites before development. 💥 Our Visual Communications cluster has also started a “Marketing the Mascot” team project to learn core marketing principles. More to come!
