Willow Street’s adult Veterinary Technology progra

Willow Street’s adult Veterinary Technology program will be hosting a career fair from 11 AM to 2 PM on April 22, at the Willow Street Campus’ Lions Club Building. 🐾 This event is open to the public! Come on out, and learn more about the career paths available in the veterinary field.

Today, Electrical Construction students worked on

Today, Electrical Construction students worked on conduit systems, including EMT bending and installing PVC! They have also worked on wire molding and IMC conduit systems! ⚡️🔌

Our Power Sports class dove into live work assignments this week! 🪚🧑‍🔧 A few gave a chainsaw a spring tune-up, servicing the fuel system and sharpening the chain. Others completed an engine rebuild on a customer’s 4-wheeler, and tested the brakes in-house, thanks to their new ATV Safety Certifications! They also worked on a Polaris RZR, go-karts, riding mowers, walking mowers, and ATVs! 🏎️

Students in Intro to Visual Communications studied color theory! 🌈🎨 They identified elements like tint, shade, tone, and hue, and even took a colorblindness test. Students also held a dry run for green screen portraits. 📸

Project update! 🌟 Willow Street’s Intro to Manufa

Project update! 🌟

Willow Street’s Intro to Manufacturing, Welding, and Collision Repair programs built 11 fire pits for the Farmers Fire Insurance Company in York. 🔥 These leave for their permanent homes this week!

This project is an excellent example of our CTC’s commitment to cross-program collaboration. Manufacturing students kicked the project off by cutting metal pieces to exact specifications, and then Welding students led teams of peers, including Manufacturing students, to fuse the joints. 🧑‍🏭 Recently, Collision Repair students added the finishing touches, spray-painting the fire pits black for a finished look. 👀 Together, everyone achieves more!

Today, students in our Visual Communications clust

Today, students in our Visual Communications cluster at Brownstown presented their mascot marketing projects to peers, faculty, and administrators! 🪶🌀 They showed off wearables and giveaways, from playing cards to a hand-made mascot head, and they even made up backstories and names for our new mascot, the LCCTC Hawk.

Nicely done, all!
