Mr. Smith joined LCCTC in 2012. In addition to his role as an instructor, he also serves as a SkillsUSA Adviser. He is a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School and Pennsylvania College of Technology where he received a Certificate in Construction Carpentry. There he gained knowledge in Masonry (1&2), Electric, Plumbing, Wood Construction (1, 2, 3, & 4), Site Preparation and Layout, Basic Architectural Drafting, Blueprint Specs and Codes, Interior Finish Materials, Home Remodeling (1&2), Practical Construction, Construction and Estimating Management, and Computer Application and Construction. Following graduation he was employed for 12 years at Eichelberger Construction Incorporated before becoming a teacher. Mr. Smith taught classes at Dauphin County Technical as well as Harrisburg Area Community College before coming to LCCTC.
Mr Smith has a Vocational I Certification in teaching and is currently taking classes through Penn State and Harrisburg Area Community College to obtain his Vocational II Certification, which he is on schedule to complete during the 2015-2016 school year.
In his spare time, he is an active volunteer firefighter of 2 years at Palmyra Fire Company #1 in Lebanon County and was a volunteer for 18 years at Dauphin Middle Paxton Fire Company #38 in Dauphin County. Mr Smith is an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoys vacationing in the mountains, going on hikes and spending time with his wife, his two step-children, and his three yellow Labrador Retrievers. During the summer months he works for himself remodeling homes for his clients when he’s not traveling.
Aaron Adams

Aaron Adams received his bachelor of science degree from Penn State in Workforce Education; his graduate work was completed at Penn State and Villanova where he focused his studies on International Supply Chain Management and Six Sigma Quality Assurance. He has worked as a Carpentry instructor at the Centre County AVTS, and was employed for 11 years as the general manager of Fairway Building Products, LLC. He has spent the last 8 years as the proud owner of a construction company, roofing company, and solar (photovoltaic) company.
Aaron has three teenage children. He loves sailing with his daughter, white water kayaking, camping, surfing, and traveling with his children.
Todd Staub

Todd has worked as the director of workforce development at Associated Builders and Contractors, Keystone Chapter, and at the National Offices of ABC, Inc., in Washington, DC. He was also a middle school health and physical education and substitute teacher at Lampeter-Strasburg School District, while being self-employed as the owner of his own home-improvement business. During his time working at ABC, Todd served as a subject matter expert for the NCCER carpentry curriculum, a SkillsUSA carpentry technical team member and on the Advisory Committee for Apprenticeship for the US Department of Labor. Over the summer prior to joining LCCTC, Todd spent the summer months working as a carpenter for Benchmark Construction Company, Inc.,
Todd earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and went on to complete graduate course work at Millersville University.He holds PA Instructional level II certificates, K-12, in the areas of health and physical education and technology education. He grew up in Hanover and developed his love for construction from his father who was a carpenter. He sees this new role at the LCCTC as a way to combine what he is most passionate about (the construction industry) and his formal training as a teacher to provide a great experience for students in his Intro to Construction Careers classes.
