WAG is searching for a Veterinarian Assistant to help provide rehabilitation and pain management therapies and assist with daily activities within the practice. With the ultimate goal of growing into a Veterinarian Technician. WAG is a different type of veterinary medicine and a different relationship of employment. Philadelphia’s original and premier stand alone facility, we are family owned and solely dedicated to veterinary rehabilitation, pain management and fitness. Our services include hydrotherapy, acupuncture and laser therapies for post operative or aging dogs, cats and the occasional exotic.
Duties
● Cross Training in Reception and Patient Care
● Assisting Veterinarian and Technicians during appointments
● Animal Restraint
● Administering Medication as prescribed by the Veterinarian
● Cleaning and straightening exam rooms and maintaining equipment
● Communication with Clients: answering phone calls, emails and text messages
● Scheduling appointments
● Processing Payments
Experience
● High School Diploma
● Veterinary Experience is a plus but not a requirement. We will work with you to develop experience or attain desired certifications.
● Saturday shifts will be required. We coordinate our schedules quarterly, based on employees’ availability and needs.
