HDI is currently looking for TIG welders for our first and second shifts. This is a full-time position working in our Lancaster County manufacturing facility. The primary work schedule for First Shift is Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and the Second Shift is Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with a 30 minute lunch each day. Occasional overtime is required.

Pay is dependent upon experience.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Responsible for measuring, layout, cutting, fitting, joining and fabricating stainless steel railing systems by applying appropriate measurement and welding techniques.
Read and interpret shop drawings, project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams in order to perform all elements of the fabrication of high-end architectural stainless steel railings and components.
Operate welding equipment to produce quality TIG welds in stainless steel while operating in horizontal and vertical positions.
Grind and polish stainless steel materials to required finish specifications.
Operate metal working equipment including saws, drill presses, punch presses, bar and pipe benders, brakes, grinders, and polishers, along with a variety of portable and hand tools.
Perform detailed quality checks to verify accuracy of manufactured products against fabrication drawings and details and to ensure all standards and requirements are met.
Utilize knowledge of machinery and equipment, mathematics and other physical sciences to complete fabrication as necessary.
Requirements:

Proficiency in TIG welding stainless steel required.
Experience in stainless steel fabrication, including cutting tube, grinding, polishing, bending, and assembly.
Ability to read and understand blueprints and weld symbols.
Ability to follow detailed assembly instructions.
Ability to use and understand a tape measure, caliper, protractor, and related tools.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and understanding of both metric and imperial systems of measurement.
Ability to do layout.
Ability to use logic and reasoning to troubleshoot and solve practical problems.
Must be able to meet high production demands in a timely manner and complete high-quality work with expertise.
Ability to safely lift up to sixty pounds.
Ability to be extremely safety conscious and adhere to all safety processes and procedures.
Ability and willingness to follow and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Must be able to pass pre-employment testing which includes a welding test (if applicable), drug screen, and reference checks.
