This position leads a team to execute the day-to-day retail operations within the retail department at The Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge while achieving financial goals and ensuring operating standards are met.

Job Duties (Items marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this position):

Manage a team of full-time and part-time employees to successfully execute the day-to-day retail operations by interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and holding team members accountable to ensure standards are being met.*

Work collaboratively with others to assort, plan, and execute placement and replenishment of products at retail locations across HE&R Resort properties.*

Follow and enforce inventory management procedures, evaluate the profitability of stores, analyze sales figures, and propose and execute action plans.*

Address customer concerns and provide customer recovery by responding promptly to resolve and follow up on any complaints. Ensure resolutions effectively meet guest needs and service expectations while upholding property values.*

Actively monitor areas of responsibility each day by visiting and checking in at retail locations. Collect information from the field and act as liaison to the department management team in order to proactively identify issues.*

Actively participate as a member of the management team by serving as MOD, sitting on committees, and assisting with employee events.*

Monitor safety issues and find solutions in order to minimize risk and keep guests and employees safe.*

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 4 years of related experience.

Industry Experience – Retail, Hospitality/Tourism

Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.

Must have a valid Driver's License

Completion of high school or GED

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
