Night owl Nursing!

Our Large Animal Department is looking for dedicated technicians to bring their invaluable technical skills and knowledge to provide basic and intensive nursing care to all patients including horses, llamas, alpacas, pigs, goats, sheep and cows. Become an integral part in the training and clinical instruction of the next generation of veterinary students. Continue to learn everyday as you work alongside board-certified doctors, residents and interns to provide the highest level of compassionate and lifesaving care.
How you can help us:
Perform triage, physical exams and patient assessments for our overnight patients
Venipuncture and catheter placement. Knowledge of CPR.
Experience in the restraint and safe handling of large animals
Treatment administration by all acceptable routes (IV, IM, SQ, oral)
Ability to make sound emergency decisions concerning the health and safety of both humans and animals.
Assist in preparation and performance of procedures for a busy surgery and medicine service, including use of specialized surgical, medical and diagnostic equipment to include IV pumps, heart monitors, ultrasound, laser, endoscopy, nebulizer, glucometer, centrifuge, hoists and slings.
