JOB SUMMARY
As a Framer I, you will be part of a team responsible for constructing the framework of residential buildings, including homes, townhouses, and other residential structures. You will work under the supervision of experienced framers and carpenters, learning the fundamentals of framing while contributing to the completion of framing projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist in the assembly and installation of wooden structures such as walls, floors, and roofs according to blueprints and construction plans.
• Measure, cut, and assemble lumber and other materials for building frames.
• Use hand and power tools (e.g., hammers, saws, drills, nail guns) to complete framing tasks.
• Help with the layout and leveling of foundations and walls.
• Assist in the installation of windows, doors, and other frame components.
• Ensure that all work meets safety standards and building codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure the successful completion of tasks.
• Follow instructions and work as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Count lumber deliveries to ensure accuracy
• Accomplishes other tasks assigned by the Director of Construction.
