In this position, you will engage in a variety of tasks that are essential for the safe and efficient operation of the Farm Show Complex. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all equipment functions effectively and safely, as well as assisting in the setup, maintenance, and teardown of diverse events hosted at the facility. Additionally, you will oversee the upkeep of the complex's grounds and buildings, which encompasses equipment operation, waste management, custodial duties, general maintenance, and snow removal. The dynamic environment of the Farm Show Complex requires you to meet tight deadlines to ensure that events are properly prepared and maintained.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Thursday – Monday, with a 30-minute lunch (Shift differential is $1.25 an hour).
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $43,397.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year of experience as an Equipment Operator A; or
Two years of experience in the operation of heavy construction and specialized maintenance equipment used at this level with a gross vehicle weight of 32,001 pounds or more; or
Any equivalent combination of experience or training.

Special Requirement:

You must possess a valid Class C Pennsylvania driver's license.

Condition of Employment:

This position requires possession of a valid Class B commercial driver's license (CDL) that is not under suspension.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
