CNC Machinist/Programmer

Be a part of selecting our new CNC horizontal machining center! ACT is growing and is in the process of selecting and purchasing a new CNC horizontal machining center for our Metal Shop. We are looking for a strong CNC Machinist/Programmer with previous horizontal and vertical machining experience to program and operate this new equipment as well as other machining centers within the Shop.

ACT designs and manufactures an extensive range of rugged military power supplies and power related products.

Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Full benefits package offered including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k plan with company match, holidays and PTO.

1. High school diploma/GED and 3-5 years training or equivalent commensurate combination of education and experience
2. Demonstrated ability to program with a CAM system, GibbsCAM and/or Mastercam preferred
3. Ability to machine complex components with horizontal and vertical machining centers
4. Knowledge or and experience with G & M codes
5. Demonstrated foundation in geometric tolerancing and dimensions
6. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, decimals and fractions
7. Able to read blueprint and BOMs
8. Computer experience to include proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook and ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
9. Able to seek out solutions independently and work with minimal supervision
10. Ability to communicate with Design Engineers to ensure correct specifications and documentation
11. Good organizational skills and attention to detail
12. Ability to multitask
13. Forklift experience a plus
