Assists Pastry Chef in the preparation of all items for the Food and Beverage outlets.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Average Percent of Time
25 % Responsible to supply assigned work station with all needed products and culinary equipment for prompt production.
30 % Prepares all the prep work for daily prep lists for restaurants, banquets, V.I.P.’s, guest requests following inventory prep lists.
20 % Stores all food in refrigerated boxes including covers, labels and dates, using the proper containers to protect against waste and spoilage.
15 % Maintains area in a clean condition at all times following specific cleaning guidelines and times.
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor/manager based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Perform general/routine cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by your supervisor to adhere to health standards.
Keep floors dry and clean to avoid slip/fall accidents.
Perform other duties as requested, such as moving supplies and equipment, cleaning up spills, etc., to ensure safe working environment.

OTHER DUTIES
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Hilton from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
OSHA laws require the use of the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing work duties that have the potential of risk to your health or safety:
De-greaser once/month; Disinfectants
Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE. The hotel provides the required PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your manager.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must have basic knowledge of the fundamentals of baking including temperatures and timing.
Must have basic knowledge of accepted standards of sanitation.
Must have knowledge of operating all kitchen equipment, i.e., stoves, mixers, ovens, broilers, slicers, steamers, kettles, etc.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to understand recipes, measurements, and portion sizes.
Ability to read and write the English language in order to read recipes and communicate with other employees.
Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to use all kitchen equipment, i.e., knives, spoons, spatulas, tong, slicers, pastry bags and variety of tip usages, etc.
Ability to grasp, lift and/or carry, or otherwise, move (rotate) goods weighing a maximum of 100 lbs. on a continuous schedule.
Ability to perform duties within extreme temperature ranges.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
EXPERIENCE
Baking knowledge and experience preferred.

None required.
