Certifications You’ll Earn

Safety comes first! Students will earn their OSHA Certification at the beginning of the year to understand all of the safety regulations for their worksite or lab space.

Learn the welding standards developed by the American Welding Society and enjoy membership for a year.

Career Pathways

Commercial Welder

Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to join metal components or fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Pipe Fitter

Assemble, install, alter, and repair pipelines or pipe systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gasses. You may also install heating and cooling equipment and mechanical control systems. This career path includes sprinkler fitters.

Weld Operators

Set up, operate, and tend welding, soldering, or brazing machines. You may also work with robots that weld, braze, solder, or heat treat metal products, components, or assemblies. This career path includes workers who operate laser cutters or laser-beam machines.
