Certifications You’ll Earn

Safety comes first! Students will earn their OSHA Certification at the beginning of the year to understand all of the safety regulations for their lab space. 

Earn basic life support training to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality CPR, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of an AED.

Gain the training to protect individuals against illnesses that can result in debilitating disease.

Career Pathways

Certified Nursing Assistant

Provide basic care under the direction of onsite licensed nursing staff. Perform duties such as monitoring health, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, or helping patients walk in a health or nursing facility. Your work may involve administering medications. Career options include nursing care attendants, nursing aides, and nursing attendants.

Home Health Care Aide

Monitor the health of an individual with disabilities or illness. Address health-related needs, such as changing bandages, dressing wounds, or administering medication. Work is performed under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Provide assistance with routine healthcare tasks and daily activities like eating, bathing, using the bathroom, and walking. You may also help with tasks like cooking, light housekeeping, and laundry.

Personal Care Aide

Provide personal care to individuals with disabilities or illness. Help with daily activities like eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, using the bathroom, and walking. You may also help with tasks such as cooking, light housekeeping, and laundry. Work is performed in various settings—including the patient’s home, out in the community, or at a daytime care facility.
