Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Advance your career as a dental professional while meeting the future needs of dentistry.

This program is designed in accordance with the PA State Board of Dentistry’s EFDA guidelines. Class includes 30 sessions (15 weeks) of classroom/laboratory instruction, followed by a 120-hour clinical externship in a dental office that the student completes over 15 weeks.

At the end of the course, we’ll send your certification of education to the PA State Board of Dentistry. Your application to the PA State Board of Dentistry will allow you to complete the EFDA State Boards to obtain your EFDA license. This license will allow you to perform or assist with advanced operative procedures such as the placement of amalgams, composites, sealants, and fluoride.

** NOTE: This course does not qualify for Financial Aid / Payment Plans.
