Roofing Laborer — Specialty Install Crew | Parkesburg, PA (Chester / Lancaster County)
Full-Time | $22–$35/hr (Negotiable) + profit sharing | Specialty Roofing — Standing Seam, Cedar & Slate
About the Role
We're hiring a Roofing Laborer to work on our in-house crew installing mostly specialty roofing — standing seam metal, cedar, and slate — along with windows, doors, and siding. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and gets the work done right the first time. You'll be part of a dedicated crew working scheduled installation projects, so there's no door-knocking, no chasing leads, and no running solo — just steady, skilled work alongside an experienced team.
Service Area: Approximately one-hour radius from our Parkesburg shop, covering Chester County and surrounding areas in PA, DE, and MD.
What You'll Do
Install specialty roofing systems — standing seam metal, cedar, and slate
Install windows, doors, and siding
Measure, cut, and lay out materials accurately to spec
Install underlayment, flashing, trim, and related components
Work safely on roofs of varying pitches and at height
Load, unload, and stage materials on the jobsite
Keep jobsites clean and organized throughout the day and at completion
Follow direction from the crew lead/foreman and work efficiently as part of the team
Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
Represent the company professionally on residential properties
What We're Looking For
Hands-on roofing, carpentry, or construction experience (specialty roofing a strong plus)
Comfortable working at heights and on roofs of varying pitches
Safe and confident with common hand and power tools
Physically able to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in varying conditions
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented — takes direction well and shows up ready to work
Ability to pass a drug and background check
Attention to detail and genuine pride in craftsmanship
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Willing to travel within a one-hour radius of Parkesburg
We're open to training the right person who has a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn specialty systems.
Bonus Points
Direct experience with standing seam, cedar, or slate
Window, door, and siding installation experience
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
OSHA 10/30 or fall-protection training
Previous role on a specialty or restoration crew
