The Quality Inspector positions perform QC inspection and testing of all types of finished gaskets according to established quality standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible to operate all vision system and seal test equipment while also maintaining rate that is part specific.
• Assist in changeovers and manual inspection as needed.
• Assist in de-framing of gaskets and parts packaging as needed.
• Able to troubleshoot issues in order to maintain quality standards.
• Responsible to complete all paperwork, documentation, and BPCS/SQL transactions accurately and timely.
• Responsible to assist in general housekeeping of the department.
• Responsible to adhere to all company safety policies and procedures while also maintaining a safe work environment at all times.
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
Additional Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Highly motivated.
• Strong time management and priorities management skills.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Excel. BPCS experience a plus.
• Ability to interact with vendors and internal customers.
• Metrics driven.
The starting pay rate for a Quality Inspector I is $17.64/hour and the starting pay rate for a Quality Inspector II is $18.65 per hour. Positions on 2nd shift receive a 5% shift differential.
