Compensation: $28.75 / hourly
The HVAC Maintenance Technician position is responsible for installing, inspecting, operating, and repairing all HVAC and refrigeration equipment across the Tandem Living campuses. This includes systems such as ice machines and cooling towers. The technician also operates the building automation system, including programming system times, cycles, and related controls to ensure proper building performance. This position is performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma or equivalent required.
-Two (2) years of on‑the‑job experience plus completion of an approved three‑year apprenticeship preferred.
-Valid PA driver’s license and a minimum of two years of driving experience required.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Assists the Preventative Maintenance Technician in performing preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment as needed.
-Maintains energy savings and occupant comfort by making individual control adjustments independent of the building automation system.
-Troubleshoots and performs repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
-Inspects, installs, and sets up new HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
-Exhibits strong technical knowledge in the design and service of heat pumps; electrical applications for refrigeration and air conditioning; basic and advanced refrigeration; heating and cooling load calculations; automatic refrigeration; air‑conditioning and heat‑pump controls; and demonstrates familiarity with basic computer programming.
