DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will perform household and personal duties for the Governor, First Family, and guests in kitchens and dining areas at the Governor’s residence. Responsibilities include setting up, serving, and washing up after meals, as well as ensuring the family kitchen and related areas are clean, organized, and free of clutter. You will also assist the chef with food preparations or other kitchen duties if needed and maintain an inventory of dining service items. Other duties include greeting and assisting guests as they arrive, observing and assisting caterers, and communicating effectively with other staff to ensure all the Governor, First Family, and guest needs are met. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Permanent, part-time employment
Hours may vary and will be discussed at the time of the interview. Hours may require evenings and weekends for events.
Essential employee – required to report to work during emergencies and office closings.
Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Two years of wait staff experience for a restaurant or catering service; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Special Requirement:

You must possess and maintain a valid non-commercial Class C Pennsylvania driver’s license or equivalent.
Additional Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
