The professional staff (LPN or RN) is an hourly position that requires an understanding of and appreciation for the medical needs and demands of residents in an assisted living and memory care facility. The LPN/RN will fully contribute to the medication administration, health and well-being of every resident for the designated shift to assure the needs, expectations and desires of each resident is met.
Duties and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
1. Administer medications and injections
2. Provide medical interventions appropriately for all incidents / emergencies and take appropriate action to solve problems and/or resolve conflicts that may arise
3. Take verbal physician orders, prepare written verification, and transcribe onto MAR
4. Document physician appointments in appointment book as needed.
5. Assist as needed with direct care of residents
6. Complete incident reports on any episode resulting in injury or potential for same, including medication errors, for all residents and employees
7. Perform treatments, including but not limited to wound care, oxygenation, nebulizer treatments and basic first aid per order of physician and record treatment in MAR
8. Ensure timely and sufficient electronic documentation of all resident care into EHR
9. Other assignments and responsibilities as directed by the Director of Nursing
