Duties and Responsibilities
• Individual uses common hand, power, and/or air tools.
• Uses standard tape measure and both reads and understands numbers/fractions.
• Performs basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of numbers/fractions.
• Reads and understands shop drawings, blueprints, and/or other production-related diagrams.
• Knows how to gauge steel to assure proper material is used in the construction of the frame.
• Measures and cuts steel for frames and hitch assembly. Welds steel to build frames using MIG and/or ARC welders.
• Manually places outriggers against frames and welds outriggers, crossmembers, and braces to frame.
• Install axles and tires, wire, brakes and paint frames. Rework frames, tires or axles in yard or out in field.
• All construction to meet DAPIA approved prints.

Physical Requirements
Individual must be capable of continual bending, turning, twisting, climbing, squatting, reaching, and/or lifting to minimum of 70% of work day. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds from knee and/or ground level to waist and/or chest level. Must be able to hold a minimum of 50 pounds at chest level for periods not to exceed one minute with a maximum of five minutes between holding operations. Must be able to push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds on roll cars or similar conveyances.
Work Environment
Individual will perform majority of work inside building. Will be exposed to dust, dirt, noise, and seasonal changes in temperature. May also be exposed to a variety of paints, plasters, and/or adhesives as listed in the Material Safety Data Manual for this functional area.
