Technician Manufacturing II

Temporary Position, Available on: 08/08/2017

Summary: Temp to Full-Time

Build upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based systems. Modify standard communications equipment and fabricate custom equipment to meet the customer’s special requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Primary: Manufacture upper level assemblies and/or sub-assemblies used in microprocessor based
systems:
• assemble components used to make sub-assemblies;
• install panels upper level sub-assemblies;
• assemble access panels;
• perform detailed wiring.

2. Secondary: Fabricate and/or modify products:
• page/party stations;
• printed circuit boards;
• cable assemblies;
• wiring harnesses;
• wire wrap boards;
• relay panels;
• cabinet sub-assemblies;
• cabinet assembly.

3. Correct problems arising during fabrication and/or final testing of equipment.

4. Lay out and fabricate custom metal work.

5. Provide support/training to Technicians I, as needed.

6. Review all documentation for potential errors and omissions.

Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree in electronics technology or equivalent, with two to three years previous experience.
• Ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. ;
• Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors.
