Repair Technician

Full-time Position, Available on: 2023-04-12

The Repair Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing moderate to complex Brady printing systems for sale or lease. This position will work in a fast paced team environment supporting all functions within the service team for moderate to complex print systems including documenting, troubleshooting, and repair of customer owned product or equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains customer relationships and loyalty by investigating complaints, identifying solutions and resolving problems by recommending methods, techniques and system improvements
Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records in SAP and Salesforce
Read, interpret and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineering specs and drawings, BOM’s, and other written instructions to accurately assemble/repair equipment and products
Adhere to all ISO, SOX and PCI compliance requirements
Soldering of electronic components and/or wiring
Maintain inventory requirements at work stations
Perform quality checks to ensure product meets quality standards
Identify, document, and escalate all product defects to R&D
Rework or repair assembled product/equipment according to engineering specification changes
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Perform troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for moderate to complex supported printers and applicators
Provides support for the assembly of printer and applicator products, service and sub assemblies

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 2 years of previous experience preferably in electromechanical repair assembly
Work independently with little supervision
Utilize hand held tools such as screwdriver and drill gun
Effective time management and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve problems
Proficient computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office and business systems
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities to meet business objectives
Adaptable to change in fast pace environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail and timelines related to service level

Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1 to 2 years of previous experience in electromechanical repair assembly
Associate Degree preferably in an electrical/mechanical technology related field
Proficient knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
Knowledge of inventory management and cycle counting
Proficient knowledge of print engine components and systems
