If you are looking for the opportunity to put your experience and training as an HVAC/Refrigeration Mechanic to work, we have the job for you! South Mountain Restoration Center is seeking an energetic, reliable candidate with experience in the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
You will perform skilled work at the journey level in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and/or heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems, units, equipment, and peripheral devices in a nursing home facility.
Situated in the beautiful mountains near Michaux State Forest, South Mountain Restoration Center is a Long-Term Care Skilled Nursing Home Facility operated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Hours of work: 7:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday, 30-minute lunch
Overtime: As needed

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
In order to be selected for this position, you must be able to show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination or the first dose of a two-dose series COVID-19 vaccination. If you have received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination, and you are selected for this position, you will have to show verification that you have received the second inoculation by no later than February 26, 2022, in order to continue employment in this position.
Selected candidates with a start date of February 26, 2022, or after must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination. If you are unable to show the required verification, your employment will be terminated.
Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements – two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of refrigeration and HVAC systems, units, and equipment; OR an associate’s degree in refrigeration/HVAC systems; OR successful completion of a two-year post-secondary technical refrigeration/HVAC training program; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement – All employees must obtain an active Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certificate from an approved provider within six months of employment in this job.
