WGAL TV, the Hearst owned NBC affiliate located in the Harrisburg-Lancaster-Lebanon-York, PA market, has an immediate opening for a Production & Facilities Coordinator. This position, which reports to the Broadcast Operations Manager, includes duties and responsibilities ranging from leading production of our high school quiz show, WGAL 8 Brain Busters, to lighting, studio upkeep, light carpentry and set construction, managing inventory of building supplies, as well as coordination with outside vendors who help maintain the station and its systems. We seek a motivated, self-starter with a passion for local television. This is an in-person position and does not include any remote work.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of television studio operations including cameras, lighting and basic rigging
Willingness to work at heights above 15 feet and operate a scissor lift (WGAL will provide training and certification)
Ability to lift 50 pounds and work while standing for up to several hours
Basic operational knowledge of HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems
Experience with audio consoles, video switchers and other equipment preferred
Good organizational and communication skills
Educational Requirements:
Related experience and/or training considered as well as a combination of education and experience.
