The Production Associate II is responsible for the assembly UE/UR, Bard and MC product lines according to company standards using tools such as wireless drills, pencil drivers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and fasteners to attach equipment to enclosures, punch holes, tap, drill, and wire. In addition, testing and troubleshooting of units and reading schematics are everyday functions of the position. Associate will have working knowledge and the ability to be cross functional in multiple areas of Mechanics. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Complete production per work order in accordance with work instructions.
Interface with computer to execute job completion and inventory transaction into databases.
Performs bench type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling.
Works with precision to limit scrap.
Assemble and wire electrical control panels using point to point wiring
Perform mechanical work such as attaching enclosures to equipment, punching holes in panels, drilling and tapping
Responsible for equipment wiring, assist in equipment checkout and troubleshooting per electrical schematics
Conducts functional, high voltage and continuity tests of electrical assemblies, components, wire harness, and plugs, using ohmmeter, test lights, and other electrical testing instruments
Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
Completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimal supervision
Interfaces with engineers, technicians, and other manufacturing personnel as necessary to effect completion of assemblies.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and workspace organization improvement
Reports defective materials or questions conditions to the department supervisor.
Cross training in other related assembly areas as production demand requires.
Any other similar or associated duties necessary to accomplish job objectives, or as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Prerequisite Ability to perform the essential functions of Production Associate I
Education High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience 2 to 3yrs experience preferred in related industries of more intricate electrical assemblies.
Language and Communication Skills: The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret charts.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
