Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, has opportunities for caring and skilled LPN’s. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available in our 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility, and in our 20-bed Short Term Rehabilitation Center. Brethren Village offers a wide-variety of work schedules to meet your needs.
Brethren Village’s LPN’s provide the highest-quality clinical care, while fostering positive and supportive relationships with older adult Residents, to enhance their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. Our LPN’s work cooperatively with RN’s and C.N.A.’s to manage disease and provide direct patient care.

Newly-hired LPN’s are eligible for an up to $6,000 bonus: $3,000 paid after successful completion of 6 months of employment as a full-time or part-time LPN, and $3,000 paid after successful completion of 1 year of employment as a full-time or part-time LPN.
Brethren Village offers generous shift differentials: $3.00 extra per hour on the evening shift; $2.00 extra per hour on the night shift; $1.00 extra per hour for weekends; 50% premium for weekend work hours, for those who work 48 weekends per year.

Brethren Village offers comprehensive health and prescription drug coverage for as low as $27.00 every two weeks.

Typical Work Schedules:
Full-time: 8 and 12-hour schedules are available on all shifts; work days will vary a bit from week to week, and typically include every other weekend and holiday
Part-time: flexible part-time schedules are available, including some weekend-only schedules with a 50% pay premium for weekend work hours
Requirements
full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, per federal regulations
a high school diploma or G.E.D.
dependability: ability and willingness to meet attendance standards
basic computer skills: the ability to access and navigate web sites, and use applications and databases independently
the ability to read and to complete online training independently
ability and willingness to consistently work in a safe and alert manner, and to report to work fit for duty; commitment to wearing protective equipment as required for the position and adhering to all health and safety standards
the ability and willingness to interact in a professional and friendly manner with colleagues
the ability and willingness to provide exceptional care and service to our older adult Residents
ability and willingness to represent Brethren Village and carry out responsibilities in a manner aligned with our core values of caring, integrity, stewardship, and excellence
Additional Requirements for This Position:
valid PA LPN credentials
current CPR and First Aid certification
at least 1 year effective nursing experience in a long-term care, rehab., or acute care setting preferred (for some positions, additional experience in an acute care or rehab. setting is required)
experience working with individuals with memory loss preferred
ability and willingness to provide effective guidance and coaching to C.N.A.’s
willingness to provide assistance to Residents with their dressing, grooming, bathing, eating, and bathroom needs when needed
the ability to safely transfer Residents, properly using mechanical lifts when necessary (consistent adherence to safe lifting and transfer procedures is required); to safely push adult Residents in wheel chairs; to reach, bend, stand, and walk frequently during the shift
the ability to quickly and safely assist Residents during emergency evacuations and other emergency situations
the ability to remain calm and provide effective care in a fast-paced environment
understanding of HIPAA privacy regulations
ability and willingness to work every other weekend and holiday
