Description

Brethren Village Retirement Community, in Lititz, PA, is seeking an experienced and innovative IT Director. The IT Director will provide strategic planning, leadership and oversight, and coordination for all Information Technology services at Brethren Village, and will supervise a small team of IT professionals.

The IT Director reports to the CFO, and serves as the chief technology officer and a key member of the Brethren Village management team.
The IT Director will provide consultation, planning, and management with respect to all Information Technology functions, systems, and services.
The IT Director will manage all computer and phone systems at Brethren Village, and will oversee technology-related services for Residents and Team Members.
The IT Director is responsible for network, infrastructure, and servers: e.g. preventative maintenance, patching, and software/hardware refreshes.
The IT Director will ensure the integrity and security of all Brethren Village IT systems; maintain and enhance the disaster recovery plan; recommend best-practices with respect to data security.
The IT Director will ensure Brethren Village’s systems are integrated with vendors’ systems as applicable.
The IT Director will proactively recommend innovative ways to use technology to enhance delivery of health care and other services, improve efficiency and the “customer” experience, and help control costs.
The IT Director will lead complex technology-related projects.
The IT Director will oversee or coordinate all “help desk” requests from Residents and Team Members, and ensure a professional level of service and timely responses.
The IT Director will propose and manage the IT budget for Brethren Village.
The IT Director will provide effective training, guidance, development, and supervision to a small IT team.
The IT Director will work collaboratively with other professionals to help define and achieve the organization’s strategic vision.

Required qualifications include:

A Bachelor’s degree or Professional Certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration, or a related field
At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in Information Technology, including systems administration; experience at a management level preferred
Practical experience ensuring the security of data and systems
The demonstrated ability to envision, plan, and lead complex projects
Experience managing a function or department, and staff
Proven ability to think strategically and recommend innovative solutions; ability to use technology to enhance efficiency, service delivery, and help control costs

Work Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. Hours will typically be 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with reasonable flexibility. The IT Director will need to respond to after-hours issues on occasion.

Requirements
