Job Details:
Intern – Part Time Operations Technician

We are always looking for potential interns or part time employee candidates. Our focus is to provide superior technology solutions to our clients in the Unified Communications, Data Center, Networking, and Desktop Support arena. The primary technology partners we use are Cisco, VMWare, NetApp, Microsoft, and various backup solutions. We like to rotate interns throughout our Operations team to get a full view of what we do. They usually start working with the remote support desk, starting in the support desk gets them familiar with the central system we work in. This then allows interns to help in other areas. They get teamed with an implementation engineer for onsite work, and work with our project management group to learn how projects flow.
Background in technology we like to see:
– Cisco command line interface, Unified Collaboration application experience, UCS interface experience.
– VMWare vCenter/vSphere experience.
– Data Center storage and backup knowledge.
– Microsoft server, PC, and Office 365 experience.
– Understanding of TELCO service delivery – POTS, PRI, SIP, T1, MPLS
– General networking understanding – TCP/IP, subnetting, LAN/WAN

Other Skills:
– Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.
– Experience working in a ticketing system.
