In-House Technician

Job Description:

A qualified on-site technician applies a broad working knowledge of electronics to a wide variety of assignments through the application of technical concepts, practices and procedures. The technician is a member of the service and support team and will work on moderately complex work orders with normal to critical deadlines, and typically operates independently to troubleshoot hardware/software equipment problems, and to set up, install, configure, maintain, relocate, and/or repair a variety of printing related equipment, software and/or peripherals.

Responsibilities include, but, are not limited to:

Perform effective and efficient equipment set-up, repair, maintenance and delivery/installation to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and product performance
Provide bench-level preventive hardware maintenance, replacement and repair to sub-assembly/component level hardware.
Sets up, assembles, installs, configures, and reconfigures, modifies, moves and/or relocates hardware/software at Conestoga Business Solutions or client site for regular or special function use.
Ensures upgrades are configured and installed on schedule
Uses standard hand and power tools and technical manuals.
Maintain work order documentation.
Continue development of skills through formal training, self-study and on-the-job training.
Assist with parts inventory and management.

Qualifications:

Vocational, trade school, or military technical training or an associate degree in electrical, electronic technology, or equivalent work experience preferred. Technical experience in the printing industry is a plus. High school diploma or GED is required.
Basic mechanical aptitude and demonstrated skills required.
Has a basic working knowledge of IT industry standards (connectivity protocols, hardware platforms and operating systems, systems integration tools and methods) as it relates to the networking of various printing and scanning systems.
Display a professional image in all interactions with customers, be a team player, proactive attitude, flexibility and organizational skills required
Must have valid drivers’ license
Must be able to pass a Department of Motor Vehicle background check
Local travel required throughout Central Pennsylvania
