-Part of an on-call rotation.
The HVAC Preventive Maintenance Technician provides hands-on preventive maintenance in commercial and residential HVAC. They safely inspect, clean, and verify equipment operation and compliance in Mennonite Home and Woodcrest Villa facilities. This position is performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-High school diploma or equivalent. Technical school certification preferred.
-Two (2) years of experience in commercial or residential HVAC operations, maintenance, or construction.
-Must have a valid PA Driver’s License for the past two (2) consecutive years.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
-Services and maintains operation of ice machines, control systems, HVAC or refrigeration equipment, boilers, ducts, chillers and cooling towers in Mennonite Home and Woodcrest Villa facilities. Makes recommendations for equipment repair, update or replacement.
-Performs preventive maintenance work and completes or schedules repairs. -Assists in developing estimates. Purchases materials as needed.
-Supports other maintenance members as needed for basic plumbing, electric, mechanical, and any other general maintenance work that is required.
-Works independently and completes hands-on assignments primarily consisting of changing filters, changing motors and belts, coil cleaning, and lubrication.
-Responds to emergency/after-hour calls including snow removal.
