What You’ll Do:
As a Health Care Dining Services Supervisor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by providing work schedules and assignments to a group of non-exempt employees or a small group of professionals. Ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continuing education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
Our Health Care Dining Services Supervisor is responsible for the following:
Supervises HCC Dining and Country Kitchen. Responsible for training of staff and orienting new employees. Responsible for arranging staff work schedules and ensures adequate staff on all shifts.
Responsible for ordering food and supplies from vendors to ensure daily operating needs are met. Maintains and updates production menus in Computrition to assure food production needs are ordered from Culinary Arts Center.
Enforces policies and procedures. Direct and monitor workers cleaning assignments to maintain a clean and organized working environment.
Maintains and updates resident files accurately, perform daily printing of tickets, tally guide sheets, production worksheets, published menus and nourishments.
Monitors over/under-produced foods for country kitchens and makes appropriate adjustments as needed. Assures that staff is aware of and follow up-to-date food handling procedures in accordance with HAACP practices. This would include recommendations for updated training and/or equipment.
Conducts pre-meal meetings, reviews menu with dining attendants.
Assures Child Labor Laws are enforced and minor break schedule is filled out.
Monitor temperatures of equipment and food and keep all equipment in good repair; takes corrective action for non-compliance.
Demonstrates actions that promote excellent dining experience for residents in their neighborhood and/or with specific needs.
What You Have:
Minimum associates degree in food services management or equivalent preferred.
Minimum two years working experience in health care food services.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
