High Associates Ltd., is searching for a Grounds Route Leader to join the property services team. The Grounds Route Leader is responsible for providing excellent customer service, safely operating and maintaining all department equipment, continued expansion on identification of plant materials and weeds, and responsible application of chemicals. This role also assists the Grounds Maintenance Supervisor with decision making and leadership of the department.
Responsibilities for the Grounds Route Leader include:
Leading and directing team members with responsibility for work quality and efficiency, providing input on performance evaluations, and making recommendations for staffing levels, pay adjustments and schedules vacation. Capable of leading the whole department and properly training them on the basic skills of grounds maintenance.
Leading and directing training and education programs to better develop maintenance skills of the team.
Ensuring that Corporate safety policies and programs are communicated and adhered to by all co-workers within the team, including PPE requirements. Demonstrates the ability to work safely with others.
Performing onsite inspections of properties to determine when subcontractors or company work force must be utilized.
Lifting up to 50 lbs. of tools, equipment and supplies to perform tasks.
Using discretion when making decisions.
Being familiar with and informing other team members of any new or existing High contracted locations that require maintenance.
Demonstrating competency and working knowledge of all skills and tasks within the department.
Knowledge of all appropriate company and department policies and abides by them.
Maintaining a satisfactory work (quality, efficiency) and safety record for the team.
Generating and understanding financial efficiency reports. Completion of required paperwork on a daily basis.
Experience, Training, and/or Education Required:
High School Diploma or GED, required.
Minimum of four (4) years of Grounds Maintenance experience.
Ability to diagnose problems with trees, shrubs, turf, required.
Ability to identify insects, required.
Valid PA State Driver’s License, required.
Advanced Property Services Certification, preferred.
CDL Class A, preferred.
Spraying Licenses 6, 7, 10, and 14, preferred.
