Generator Assembly Technician

Job Description
Stauffer Diesel, a leading distributor of Deutz Diesel Engines, FPT Marine and Industrial Engines, Stadco Generators, and Mitsubishi Diesel Engines throughout the Northeast and Midwest United States, has an immediate opening for a Generator Assembly Technician at our Ephrata, Pennsylvania facility.
Responsibilities:
• Ability to read and interpret component and assembly drawings.
• Requires wiring and troubleshooting capability of AC and DC control systems and AC electrical circuits up to 600VAC.
• Operation of hoists to lift heavy machinery.
• Accurately complete company and manufacturer required paperwork.
• Strict adherence to all safety rules and procedures.
• Work environment will be a mix of shop and field service.
• Actively participate in company and manufacturer provided training opportunities.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma required
• Prior Generator experience a plus.
• Basic computer skills with ability to use or learn diagnostic programs.
• Motivated and willing to work individually or as part of a team.
• Willing to learn and expand knowledge base.
• Above average attention to detail.
• Must have own hand tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, background check and MVR check.
