Currently we are seeking a Facilities Associate to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The Facilities Associate will support the daily operations of the facilities department by performing a wide range of building maintenance tasks both interior and exterior as well as tasks for internal customers in support of their business needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, perform the following duties:
Janitorial
• Assist with cleaning and overall building upkeep.
• Ensure janitorial and building maintenance supplies are well stocked.

Event & Meeting Set Up Breakdown
• Set up meeting rooms with all necessary furniture and meeting accessories.
• Move and relocate office furniture; adjust desks, chairs, filing cabinets as requested.

General Building Maintenance
• Report and troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
• Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized or licensed technician.
• Assist with performing monthly OSAH regulated inspections on equipment.

Groundskeeping
• Clean and assist with upkeep of exterior, including but not limited to weeding, leaves, snow and debris removal from walkways.
Other
• Comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Maintains effective communication with all team members and management to ensure an efficient workflow process.
• Special projects as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience & Education
• High School Diploma/GED
• 1-3 years’ experience in similar role, or vocational school graduate, an approved apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.
• Good experience and comfortable working with a variety of hand and power tools.

Technology
• Good use of computers and computer software: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to learn new software with ease.

Other:
• This position requires work in both an office and outdoor setting. Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Frequently required to use hands to operate machinery, hand tools and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum weight 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours; frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility with work shift.
• Ability to work extended hours as business needs warrant; may on occasion include nights and weekends.

This is a permanent part time position: 20-25 hours a week.
