PURPOSE OF POSITION:
ESY Health Care Assistants (HCA) are responsible for meeting the medical needs of students enrolled in IU-operated special education classes/programs.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education Required:
High School diploma
Certification Required:
Licensed LPN, current CPR, AED and 1ST Aid
*ESY positions available for Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Multiple Disabilities Support classrooms and applicable related services. The ESY program will only be serving IU13 students.
The ESY program will run from June 26th through July 27th , Monday-Thursday and includes:
*AM Session: 8AM-12PM
*Full-day (CEC AS only): 8AM-3PM
*PM Session: 12PM-4PM (only if needed)

Required Training and Classroom Set-up Day for ESY Assignment:
*Please note that attendance at all assigned trainings/classroom set-up day is required.
*Training will be held the week of June 12th with classroom set-up day/program specific trainings on June 20th.
*In order to maintain consistent services to our students, availability for the 5 weeks of classes is preferred.
