Full-time, Part-time Position, Available on: 2022-08-30
*Daily personal hygiene needs of the resident – i.e., bathing, dressing, hair
care, mouth care, shaving, toileting, nail care.
*Assists with daily and ongoing activity programs for all residents.
*Addresses the needs of incontinent residents. Changing bed linens.
*Lifts, turns, and transfers residents, as scheduled or as needed.
Properly uses mechanical lifts and requires 2 staff for all transfers.
*Serves meals and snacks, feeds those who require help; providing fluids.
*Performs restorative nursing functions as scheduled or as needed.
*CNAs are scheduled for Resident care 24 hours a day every day.
*Call bells will be answered in a timely manner.
*Observes and reports any change in resident’s condition to LPN or RN
using Stop and Watch in EMR.
*Completes and documents all areas of care in the EMR system.
Weights/reweighs, BM records, restraint records (when applicable) input
and output and meal percentages, ADLs, mood/behavior, toileting.
*Adheres to standard/universal precautions and infection
control prevention. Adheres to current PPE requirements.
*Provides care in a manner that maintains resident’s dignity
and state of well-being.
*Deals with confused, combative, disoriented residents
calmly and professionally.
*Completes annual Compliance and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as
set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties. *Reports any Compliance concerns timely.
*Follows all local, state and federal regulations as they pertain to their
*Adheres to MHC’s Policies and Procedures covering Privacy and Security in
Compliance with HIPAA regulations.
*Safely transports residents in wheelchairs throughout MH.
*Maintains organized and clean resident rooms, whirlpool rooms, and

*Carries out duties assigned by the Household Coordinator,
Clinical Coordinator, or Care Coordinator.
*Functions as a household team member wherever assigned
demonstrating a positive, helpful attitude; willing to assist at all times.
*Functions as part of the household which may include serving
and cleaning up resident meals, light housekeeping duties, and
participation in recreational activities.
*Performs routine 1:1’s with residents for ten minutes for each
*Delivers residents mail.
*Membership on the Nurse Aide Registry, as monitored by the PA
Department of Health. Certification must be active and in good standing.
*The Nursing Assistant is responsible to run the RN or LPN in charge.
*One year of experience in Long Term Care preferred.
