A water main leak occurred Wednesday, January 29, at the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center’s Mount Joy campus. Repairs were initiated as soon as possible and the leak was mended before 11 pm that evening. A positive water flow was maintained throughout the repairs. Because of that positive flow, Mount Joy Borough Water Authority officials are not recommending a boil water advisory. However, as a precaution and with the overall safety of students and staff in mind, the LCCTC will provide bottled drinking water until thorough water testing is completed. Water Authority officials state that water testing will be completed next week.
Staff and students have reported to the Mount Joy campus today. Other than using bottled drinking water, it is business as usual at the Mount Joy campus.
