This is an important message to all Practical Nursing students from the Administration at the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center.
The CTC continues to follow the protocols that we established in our Health and Safety Plan. We take the spread of infection very seriously and follow precautions and guidelines recommended by the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Centers for Disease Control.
The Health Sciences Campus was notified of a student who has tested positive for COVID-19. The LCCTC has since contacted those students who were identified to have been in close contact with the infected student. That group of quarantined students will not come to campus and will receive virtual education for the coming week. On Monday, November 9, the quarantined students will report back to campus as normal while continuing to follow the PN re-entry guidelines.
Simultaneously, the Health Sciences Campus was notified of another individual who received testing for COVID-19 and is awaiting test results. While we wait on those results, the Health Science Campus will remain closed to all students until Monday, November 2. This will allow time for cleaning, sanitizing, fogging, and disinfecting per the state’s guidelines. The Health Science Campus will plan to reopen on Monday, November 2, to all students except for the quarantined group described above.
