LCCTC’s SkillsUSA National Competitors in Kentucky Preparing for Competition

Best of luck to our nine students who are in Kentucky to compete in the SkillsUSA National  competition. The Opening Ceremony begins on Tuesday, June 26th at 7 p.m. EDT. The Awards Ceremony begins on Friday, June 29 at 5 p.m. EDT. If you are interested in checking out either ceremony, be sure click here.

The competitors are as follows:

Josiah Zimmerman, a student from Manheim Central attending the Architectural CAD program at the Brownstown campus competing in Architectural Drafting

Ralayjah Richards, a student from Conestoga Valley attending the Visual Communications Cluster program at the Brownstown campus competing in Employment Application Process

Audrey DeFilippo, a student from Solanco attending the Event Planning & Tourism Services Management program at the Mount Joy campus competing in Customer Services

Ashley Stetler, a student from Conestoga Valley attending the Medical Assistant program at the Willow Street campus competing in Medical Assistant

Zavier Cuevas, a student from Manheim Township attending the Medical Assistant program at the Willow Street campus competing in Medical Terminology

Wyatt Hibshman, a student from Garden Spot attending the HVAC/R program at the Brownstown campus competing in HVAC

Loe Saya, a student from McCaskey attending the Metal Fabrication program at the Mount Joy campus competing in Sheet Metal

Vi Nguyen, a student from Manheim Township attending the Dental Assistant program at the Willow Street campus competing in Dental Assistant

Nichole Kilby, an adult student attending the Dental Assistant program at the Willow Street campus competing in Dental Assistant (adult).

We also have a student attending as a National delegate, Marly Frantz, a student from Warwick attending the Introduction to Health program at the Brownstown campus. She will work with the state officer team in electing the SkillsUSA National officers.

In addition to the competition, students are also spending some sightseeing with SkillsUSA advisors Melody Miller, Medical Assistant instructor, and Dave Ecenrode, Architectural/CAD instructor.
