LCCTC to Continue to Require Face Mask/Shields

May 16, 2021

To the faculty, staff, and administration at the Lancaster County CTC,

Over the weekend, the Centers for Disease Control and the PA Departments of Health and of Education released updates to their guidelines regarding mask wearing for fully vaccinated people.  As of today, all of these groups now state that public schools should continue their COVID-19 prevention strategies through the end of the school year.

The Lancaster County Career and Technology Center is thrilled to see our community returning to normal.  However, this is a critical time in the fight against the coronavirus.  In accordance with the current recommendations, the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center will continue follow our established protocols and require face masks and shields in CTC facilities.  When further recommendations are issued from the CDC and PDE, the LCCTC will reevaluate our procedures.

We appreciate the effort and sacrifice that our students and staff have put forth in wearing face masks and adhering to infection mitigation practices.  It is, in large part, due to your efforts that the LCCTC has been able to continue hands-on, in-person learning for nearly the entire school Year.

Thank you for your patience and support.
